Eric Neumayer is Professor of Environment and Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a recipient of the Philip Leverhulme Prize in Geography. He is the author of five books, including the forthcoming The Credibility Crisis in Science -- Tweakers, Fraudsters, and the Manipulation of Empirical, MIT Press March 2026. He has also published numerous articles in political science, international relations, environmental economics, geography and methodology. He is now working on his first novel.
He is LSE’s Deputy President and Vice Chancellor as well as Vice President (Planning and Resources). Before that he was Vice President (Faculty Development). In 2023/24, he served as LSE’s Interim President and Vice Chancellor.
