PER2026

Working background includes scientific research, private sector consultancy, UN organisations and the UK civil service. Until recently, I worked in various ministries in London and held specific roles overseas. My career before writing included responsibilities for reforming weak administrations, managing international aid and senior management in territorial administrations in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and South Atlantic.

Now writing novel-length crime mysteries. In March, I had an entry longlisted in the 2026 Henshaw Press Short Story Competition. During the last twenty-five years, I wrote technical and specialist articles, as well as a regular column, for a chartered institution magazine. Whilst with the UN, I wrote UN/WHO publications and technical books for other organisations. In my earlier academic life, I produced over 100 papers and articles.
