Peter Hannaford was born in Newcastle, Australia. He has been an adequate cellist, doctor, and enthusiastic horticulturist. He now lives in Stratford-upon-Avon, building gardens and falling in love with the wildlife. He is fascinated by the life-cycle of ladybirds. When not writing, he plants trees for future generations.
