Richard K. Lowy is the award-winning author of Kalman & Leopold: Surviving Mengele's Auschwitz, recipient of the Nellie Bly Grand Prize for Longform Journalism and Research, a Reader Views Silver Award, and a Readers' Favorite Silver Award. The book has earned international acclaim and numerous five-star reviews for its powerful storytelling and unique historical significance.

As the son of Holocaust survivor Leopold Lowy, Richard spent more than two decades preserving and documenting the remarkable testimonies of Leopold Lowy and Kalman Braun. Their story offers one of the last major firsthand accounts to emerge from Auschwitz-Birkenau and provides a rare perspective from inside Josef Mengele's hospital camp, where two teenage boys were forced to work in the SS guard shack while struggling to survive.

A speaker, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and advocate for Holocaust education, Richard is dedicated to preserving survivor testimony and ensuring that the lessons of the Holocaust continue to inspire future generations.
