Born and raised an hour away from Toronto, Canada, I was creatively inspired by the life-changing experience that was the very first "Star Wars" movie in 1977. Since then, my mind has never stopped racing with ideas. I have written two full-length novels and I'm currently writing a third. My interest in history introduced me to the existence of what many scholars consider to be the very first instance of literature to be recorded in human history. "The Epic of Gilgamesh" was recorded on clay tablets more than four thousand years ago. Upon reading the original epic poem, I was convinced that I should adapt it into a screenplay, feeling that it would make a spectacular, emotional movie. I was motivated to do this even more so upon learning that this timeless tale has never been given the proper movie treatment that it deserves. The entire experience of writing this script proved to be a great challenge that was rewarding on many different levels. I hope that others who read "The Epic of Gilgamesh" experience as much awe and excitement as I did when writing it.
