I was living in the capital, and as far as I was concerned, that was where I would stay. Then COVID happened, and when everything went quiet, all sorts of ideas started arriving. One of them was about a small town museum — how interesting that could be. After some life changes and tribulations, I surprisingly found myself with a job in exactly that kind of museum, in exactly that kind of town. The museum turned out not to be what I had imagined. The small town either. Nobody had warned me that a significant portion of every day would be spent carrying logs and keeping a wood-burning stove alive. Or that dancing with grannies would prove quite impossible to escape. This is my first published novel. I hope you enjoy it. One thing is certain — I very much enjoyed writing it. In postmodern times, that is what counts.
