My love of writing started at an early age - at seven years old I won a national poetry competition. I enjoy developing characters, drawing from my experience of working as a psychologist. I have written two cosy mysteries and a thriller and am in the process of finalising them for publication.
I belong to a creative writing group which provides me with prompts and inspiration for writing short stories. This year one of my short stories was awarded second place in a national competition. Previously in a local writing competition, I was awarded overall winner across all adult classes for creative writing.
Apart from writing, my spare time is taken up with riding my horse and being a trustee of a local Riding for the Disabled group.
