I am a freelance copywriter, editor and fiction writer. I manage the novel competition for the Scottish Arts Trust and read for their short story and flash fiction competitions. My short fiction has been published in three anthologies, including Sticks and Stones (Oxford Flash), Waves of Change (Bournemouth Writing Prize) and Eclectic Mix (Aurora Writing Competition), as well as in Women's Weekly, Writing Magazine, Writers' Forum, Writer's Bureau, Cranked Anvil and LISP.
I previously set myself a challenge: to write a new 100-word story every day and post it on social media. This led to multiple features on BBC Essex radio and a video appearance for one of the BBC Uploads festivals.
I am also a single mum of three children and a pugapoo named Peggy (after Peggy Mitchell)
