My name is Willchel Kish and I'm an emerging screenwriter. I'm 18 years old and am one of 3 siblings. I come from an African background, Liberia to be specific. Both of my parents were born in Africa and I was born in the US. My parents being immigrants in the US has influenced me to strive for greatness and take advantage of some of the opportunities they never had. Ever since I was in elementary school, I had a deep passion for writing short stories. I didn’t know what screenwriting was at that time. But later I discovered what it was due to wanting to write films for fun and I discovered soon, there was an actual career for it. And since then, I have been pursuing screenwriting. I began screenwriting at the age of 17 and have written 2 screenplays so far with a 3rd in the works. Some of the themes in my work include lost history and identity, as well as questioning God due to my background as a black Christian.
