Paula Seager

Paula Seager is seeking representation for her suspense thriller novel, Alone in the Rainforest, complete at 72,000 words. It won third place in the Fiction Factory First Chapter Competition 2025 and was a finalist in the 2025 Page Turner Writing Awards. The story is set in the Batak rainforest community of Sumatra, a place where Paula has lived. She is a writer and PR agent based in Brighton. Previously, she travelled worldwide with Amnesty International, Sight Savers and the World Health Organisation. This gave her insight into different places and cultures, which helps bring her stories to life. She has been longlisted twice in the Retreat West Pitch to Win competition, and one of her short stories was published in the Westhill Writers Brighton & Beyond Anthology for Brighton Festival 2022.
