Successful author, Dawn Ius, is judging the Page Turner 2022 Young Writer Award in the hope of helping to discover excellent authors.
Dawn Ius is a novelist, screenwriter, book coach and professional editor. She is the author of three contemporary young adult novels published by Simon Pulse (Simon & Schuster)—ANNE & HENRY, OVERDRIVE, and LIZZIE, as well as 15 educational graphic novels for the Alberta Canola Producers Commission, which are being made into cartoons.
Dawn wrote several episodes for the Nickelodeon Jr. animated show, Rainbow Rangers, and is working with Awesometown Entertainment as showrunner for an upcoming adult animation series. Her yet unpublished novel, HEARTLESS, was optioned for the development of a TV show by Verite Films.
Dawn is the Managing Editor of the e-magazine published by The International Thriller Writers organization, The Big Thrill, and is a Book Coach and development editor with more than 15 years of professional experience. She has edited numerous international publications and published upwards of 500 articles in a diverse spectrum of magazines and newspapers across North America.
In various communications and media relations roles, Dawn has spearheaded award-winning awareness campaigns for corporate and non-profit organizations.
She is represented by Anne Tibbets at the Donald Maass Literary Agency for her fiction, and Anna Archer at Lucas Talent for her screenwriting.
