The illustrations do everything here to be honest. I understand this is for the very young reader but I think it has the potential to be far more interactive, eg. Why not highlight the rainbow colours of the ball itself? The ball goes up. Where did it go? Scope for prepositions showing where objects are in relation to one another etc. Eg. On the roof...behind the chimney...in the gutter.
