Logline or Premise
Silence was supposed to keep me — and my secrets — safe.
So I accidentally became a spy…

One mistake could mean none of us — me, Mama, or Kat — survive. If you like danger, secret missions, close calls, and real history — this is my diary. Just don’t tell anyone you read it.

This is cute so far and reads as if it is truly a child's journal. And I mean that as a compliment. Sometimes authors forget to write it that way, even if it's supposed to be! I would suggest a good editor, though. Here are three examples from just the first handful of pages:

My Mama gave me this book for my birthday. (Mama should be lowercase: mama)

It’s important to remember who you are, and what happened to you. (No comma after are.)

Having never had a Papa, I don’t miss having one. (Papa should be lowercase: papa)

It's cute, and I bet the right age group would quite enjoy it.

Pitched just right for the diary of a young boy. The tone is suited to his voice which has a maturity beyond his years: very plausible given the time and setting. Since this excerpt is your calling-card, I would have recommended getting in to the drama in the Chapel a bit sooner. A great start nevertheless.
