Synopsis:

Detective Inspector Jim Kingsfield is drawn into a chilling murder investigation when the body of a retired social worker, Eleanor Smyth, is discovered in her home. As he delves deeper, he uncovers a disturbing connection to his past—a foster child he once placed in care, Bingham Tyler, who has grown into a psychopathic killer with a personal vendetta against him. What begins as a pursuit of justice quickly turns into a deadly game, culminating in Kingsfield’s tragic death during a fiery confrontation with Tyler.

Devastated by her husband’s murder, forensic pathologist Kirsty Kingsfield refuses to let his death be in vain. Teaming up with Kingsfield’s loyal colleague, Traffic Sergeant Jake Jordan, Kirsty takes the lead in the investigation, determined to bring Tyler to justice. As they unravel the killer’s dark past, they uncover shocking secrets about the broken foster care system, the trauma that shaped Tyler’s fractured psyche, and the sinister motives behind his reign of terror.

With Tyler still at large and targeting those closest to Kingsfield, Kirsty must confront her own grief and inner demons while racing against time to stop the killer. But as the lines between reality and madness blur, the team discovers that Tyler’s vendetta is far more personal and dangerous than they ever imagined.
