As a retired English teacher myself, I can fully appreciate the breathtaking depth of scholarship that has gone into this reference work. I can fully appreciate how this would be of great value to those engaged in pursuing the study of language at tertiary level but below that, it might prove a bit 'formidable' and inaccessible in its current format.
