When an overprotective mother and her impulsive teen daughter travel to Scotland to retrieve an unexpected inheritance, a necklace that has been lost for hundreds of years leads them into a mystical and dangerous adventure as they are thrust into a centuries-old battle waged between families.
First 10 Pages - 3K Words Only

The opening scene with Isabel McAllister and her daughter Abigail, running from the constables in 1647 Scotland, gives us a glimpse of the history of this conflict, and the importance of the necklace.

Transitioning to current day, Kate and Abby are pulled from their everyday lives in New York to travel to Scotland to meet with Duncan, the attorney for the McAllister estate in order to retrieve the unexpected inheritance.

The danger they face, quickly becomes obvious, as they learn the missing necklace that Abby found hidden in the wall of the cottage, and the power it provides, has been sought for centuries by the Campbells.

As Abby begins to lean into her magical gifts, the danger is elevated as Kate learns the stone in the necklace is also the third and final key to an ancient chest that the Campbells have in their possession. Inside the chest is a vial that holds the serum of life.

They escape their captors with Kate's growing abilities, and an epic battle of elven abilities ensues between the two clans. Olivia, Logan's sister, is hurt by Douglas during the battle, which gives him the realization that he will have to choose between the members of his family and the long time obligations forced on him.

Logan witnesses the power she possesses, and with the others, is humbled during the loss. With Abby's new found abilities, the Campbell's centuries long reign of power and control is over.

Back home and safe in New York, their new found abilities gives Kate the confidence she needed to stand up to Abby's abusive father.

Mr. Carry,

Yes, sorry about the confusion. When I entered Elven in the Awards competition initially, I should have purchased the Silver package, so that I could enter more than one sub-category. I eventually upgraded to silver, so I could also enter Elven in the "Best Pitch" competition as well. Thank you so much.
