Service is a fast-paced ensemble comedy set in Specials, a chaotic, recently reopened British restaurant with a dark past. After a now-infamous hostage incident involving the previous manager, a TV crew arrives to document the restaurant’s “recovery.” The staff believe they’re part of a heartfelt story about second chances and community resilience — unaware the documentary’s actual focus is showcasing Britain’s worst hospitality disasters.

From deluded management to clueless waitstaff, each character tries to project competence and charm for the cameras, but their efforts only highlight how wildly unqualified they all are. As the crew quietly eggs on the madness behind the scenes, the restaurant lurches from PR disaster to health-and-safety nightmare, serving up undercooked steaks, insulted customers, and ego-driven breakdowns — all caught on film.
