Wendy Davies

Wendie Daniels is an Australian romantic suspense author. At heart, Wendie is an editor who has worked on all sorts of professional and business documents, from writing instructions on how to use a computer program through to being responsible for hundreds of pages of website content aimed at parents with children attending government schools.
Needing a creative outlet, Wendie embraced romance writing, joining the Romance Writers of Australia (RWA) and Writers Victoria (where she used to live) to assist her growing obsession with creating happy ever after stories readers couldn't put down.
Wendie was accepted into the Queensland Writers Centre/Hachette Manuscript development award in 2016. In 2017, she was a finalist in the Mid-American Romance Author's 'Fiction from the Heartland' competition. In the same year, she won RWA's 'Emerald Award'. She self-published this story – a small-town contemporary romance – in 2018. Two of her short stories were also included in the 2019 'Spicy Bites–Masks' and in the 2020 'Sweet Treats–Cupcakes' anthologies published by the RWA. Since then she's branched out into the romantic suspense sub-genre, removing her small-town romance from sale.
Wendie is currently acting as Vice President for the Romance Writers of Australia and is doing her best to settle into a whole new environment, having moved from one state to another, while still living under strict COVID lockdowns! She enjoys cycling and often heads off on her pedal-assist electric bike, especially when one of her characters is giving her trouble, or a plot line needs some work. It's amazing how a simple bike ride can change your whole perspective. :)
Wendie also loves travelling and taking landscape photographs, with the odd portrait, too.
