Excellent so far. The conflict is set up very well in the opening courtroom scene. McClory's character is well-rounded and very believable, supported by a cast of plausible minor characters and great dialogue. Very promising excerpt indeed.

Brilliant. We are in dire need to examine the absolutely atrocious, soulless, diabolic way movies are made. McClory is the kind of everyman who has been destroyed by Hollywood since the days of Charlie Chaplin. Now with AI Slop ruling the internet, we need to examine how we got here.

James Bond is very iconic, and the fight for recognition and compensation for Kevin McClory and his contribution to Thunderball made for great reading. The characters are well drawn, and the dialogue is sharp and specific. The writer makes a great choice in taking us to McClory's experience during the war, and this practical knowledge feels important to the understanding and depth that he would offer to the character of Bond. I read on, and also checked out his bio - this is a big project, but the writing is dynamic and compelling.

Really interesting take on the early days of Bond.

You've done a great job with scene setting and direction that helps match the dialogue and move the story forward. The characters are very versatile and developed. I'm excited to follow your journey with this.

The real life battle over the origins of the famous Jame Bond franchise holds a definite appeal. The teaser intrigues, but might focus on the central conflict rather than relaying smaller details that cannot be conveyed on the screen. Flashing back to McCrory's youth is intriguing, but the complexity of that backstory, doesn't clearly connect to the Bond controversy. Given the significant elements to the dispute that needs to be set up and play out here, it is a bit concerning that the story might attempt to tell McCrory's full life story, which might overwhelm the compelling dramatic narrative. Hopefully, the piece will play out with balance and keep focused on the compelling premise.
