The story follows an African American woman, named Cary, and her young son, battling with psychological and religious trauma after their father/husband has committed suicide and they're told he's in hell. The woman has recurring nightmares where she sees him in all white but he's in a red room crying. This deeply disturbs her when she wakes up and she asks God why she continually sees this. This question changes her life when she has an encounter with a blind stranger one day, who spiritually sees into her life and hears her asking God why. This is a major turning point in the story, and it leads her on a deeper path to finding the "real" Jesus.

It's pleasant and interesting but not riveting. The mystery around the father's death is a powerful hook but there doesn't appear to be an inciting incident to really kickstart the action. There are quite a number of basic errors in formatting that can be easily addressed in the next edit.
