First 10 Pages - 3K Words Only

Jack Webb, 70, a Reality TV mogul and empath, found out he’s dying quicker than expected from an inherited disease on the same day he manifests a scheme to beat Super Bowl ratings and win Awards; Jack got to be dying and lucky at the same time.

Manifested Scheme: Jack’s crew will secretly film two “subjects” in two states for two days, and then offer big money to the American state that scan vote most correctly on his “subjects” - in whatever contest Jack makes up between those two.

The Subjects: A white, suicidal billionaire in Washington state and a Black working mom police sergeant in Florida.

The winning state will receive B as in Bitcoin, billions. The showing of Jack’s two “shorts” of his subjects will happen on one big night with Jack as a commentating guide as they’re broadcast worldwide: “Golden Globe time!”

About the Making of these Indies: To be sure Jack had a solid beatdown of the February NFL. Jack’s crew hacked social media for post-production: Every person met in his guerrilla movies will have their photos and rants from Instagram and Meta strategically inserted onto the screen to introduce Americans in their “now” to his international streamers.

Jack also filmed “plausible” childhood flashbacks of his “subjects” with little actors and music, and injected that into these U.S. newsreels. He even hijacked body-cam footage from his police sergeant “subject,” and it’s digitally perfect stalking an active shooter down a school hallway.

Also, to help DraftKings’s odds on Jack beating Jalen or that Rams quarterback in ratings, Jack has disabled “Search” on all phones and computers in the United States for the big voting night; There could have been nationwide stories about Sergeant Carter-Joy after Jack filmed her months before, and…Wait.

So, because Jack’s a billionaire, he can turn off “Search”? Check your phone, he can’t - yet. And how can Jack film “plausible” anything and then stream those lies to tunes? Who does Jack think he is, and who does he know? Was all this film festival fodder just 21st-century chum to get the people of Earth tuned into one place to watch a dying elite roll out a different version of his buh-bye?

Jack Webb’s reason for needing a global watch party? He wants to show a suddenly fact-endangered world some undeniable facts. So, Jack will show facts. Just the facts. And he’ll do it to Elvis.

I must admit I found this really hard to understand and engage with. The characters don't feel real to me and neither does the dialogue. Overall, the pacing is effected by multiple errors in the use of language and I would recommend a complete rewrite to really focus on the storyline and what the writer is trying to communicate.
