The unexpected, action-packed opening is a great hook to engage the reader. Well-paced, effective structure enables us to get a good grip on the main personalities involved in the set-up and leads perfectly into the Pearl Harbour inciting incident. This is what we've been waiting for. A few minor language and dialogue tweaks to give it one final polish.
