We've had so many lovely messages. Especially one from a writer who said she couldn't stop dancing around her home.

Well, just to let you all know, Ken and I will be doing some dancing tonight. It is actually our wedding anniversary today, and finally, we are able to close down our computers and celebrate, so we’ll dance to all your successes.

I am so beyond honored to be amongst all you incredibly talented writers. I've been primarily a screenwriter for several years, so I really did just close my eyes and hope for the best when I I submitted my chapter. This is my first time joining an international writing competition and the first time I am showing a part of my work to someone else— and not just "someone else" for that matter but acclaimed literary agents, editors, and publishers. I am amazed I was chosen to be a finalist. This gave me the validation that I need, a proof that my work has a chance for international publishing. What a great start to the day!

Congratulations to everyone who has successfully attained the title of finalist. I am looking forward to a doing a lot of reading.

Many thanks to Paula and Ken for creating the Page Turner Awards, and thereby making this opportunity possible.

The past 18 months have been a whirlwind for myself personally. Covid lockdowns provided the opportunity to create something that had only been a dream, and the induction into the world of authorship the steepest of learning curves.

To see 'A Big Blue Boat' a finalist in an international writing competition this early on in my career is mind boggling. Still pinching myself!

I wish everyone good luck.

Whether we make it to the top 10, or not, we are all winners!

It's wonderful to have made the finals and to know there are dozens of people around the globe who are feeling just like me.
